The Inability To Handle Pressure And Perspectives On Stress Symptoms And Several Achievable Ways To Improve Them

Do you often suffer from attacks of headaches, anxiety, and restlessness, shortness of breath, back and neck pains, feelings of insecurity, irritability, inconsistent bowel movement, lethargy and skin issues for no apparent reason?

Quite a few of us misunderstand these conditions as symptoms of illness rather than a sign of stress. They are very easy to misinterpret as symptoms of illnesses rather than as warning signs of stress because not many individuals admit (even to themselves) that they suffer from stress.

A lot of people are affected by stress without their knowledge, some more so than others. However, stress is not necessarily perilous or fatal. In fact, we all have the facility to deal with stress: the body releases adrenaline into your nervous system which helps us to deal with stressful situations.

There are men and women, however, who can not function under stress owing to the lack of information on how to handle nerve-racking situations. Even medical science can not determine why there are individuals who can and cannot manage stress.

The inability to handle pressure can ultimately lead to health complications if allowed to go on because it affects anyone irrespective of sex or age.

Stress is the biological response of our body to an unfavorable situation and the symptoms of head aches, shortness of breath, skin itchiness are just simply warning indicators we are getting affected by the situation. The unfavorable situation can be all kinds of things that we are having difficulties to cope with such as pressures from work deadlines, school assignments, financial problems or misunderstanding with a mate. If we are successful in responding to the stressor and have the presence of mind to identify and resolve the situation, the symptoms go away. However, if we are unable to cope with the situation then the symptoms remain and reappear every time we are in the exact same situation. This eventually develops into physical or emotional problems that prevent us from leading normal lives.

If not remedied, stress can affect and alter a person's life in the workplace, at home or at school affecting associations and performance in general. Stress thereby should be controlled so that we can lead a normal and productive life.

We can not live without stress because, believe it or not, it is an important part of our lives and makes us aware and alert to our position. It is a signal to be conscious of the environment or a situation which needs to be addressed. Learning to read these signals is what is required instead of taking treatment to relieve ourselves of the symptoms!

Stress becomes a problem when it begins to affect our lives and relationships with people around us. Some men and women blossom under stress while others do very poorly indeed but that is perhaps what gave rise to the term grace under pressure!
